Mind Loop ("we", "our", or "the app") is a spaced repetition flashcard application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Mind Loop:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.
• Study Data: Flashcard decks, cards, and study progress that you create within the app. This data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our servers when you use the Cloud Sync feature.
• Usage Data: General app usage statistics such as cards studied, review accuracy, and study streaks. This data is used to provide you with progress tracking features.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app's core functionality, including account authentication and cloud sync
• To display your study statistics and progress
• To sync your flashcard data across sessions when you opt in to Cloud Sync
• To process subscription purchases through our payment provider

Third-Party Services

Mind Loop uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob: We display advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can learn more about Google's data practices at Google Privacy Policy. Premium subscribers do not see any ads.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase transactions and subscription status. You can review their privacy policy at RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Advertising

The free version of Mind Loop displays ads provided by Google AdMob, including banner ads, native ads, and interstitial ads. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings. Premium subscribers have all ads removed.

Data Storage and Security

Your study data is stored locally on your device. If you enable Cloud Sync, your data is also stored on our servers hosted on Replit. We use industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted passwords using bcrypt hashing
• JWT-based authentication tokens
• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit

Data Retention

We retain your account and study data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email address below.

Children's Privacy

Mind Loop is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings

Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time. This will remove your profile, all decks, flashcards, and study progress from our servers.
